Aged Care Assistance

My name is Bina Kassam and I live in Sydney, Australia. My TKN assignment was to find an aged care facility suitable for senior members of the Sydney Jamat.
I visited 7 aged care centres in the Hills area and 1 in Strathfield. I focused on the Hills area as the majority of our Jamat lives in this area and it is in close proximity to our Jamatkhana. My aim is to try and help our senior Jamati members go into 1 common centre (when they are ready) so they have company, can pray together and it is easier for volunteers to visit them and help with their transportation to Jamatkhana. Ultimately we want our elders to live with dignity and in a comfortable and happy environment. I was very happy with my 6 week assignment and if we can have our dear seniors in one centre we can take care of their needs in a more effective manner.
